Overview

The Cyprus Permanent Residence Programme grants permanent residence in an EU member state against a EUR 300,000 investment in property, a Cypriot company, or approved investment funds. The permit does not expire, covers the spouse and children under 25, and requires only one visit to Cyprus every two years.

Frequently asked

Does the permit give Schengen travel?

No. Cyprus is an EU member state but is not yet in the Schengen Area, so the residence card does not by itself allow free travel within Schengen.

Do I have to be in Cyprus for the process?

No, other than for biometric capture. The rest of the application can be handled remotely.
